Troisdorf –
The police stopped two people in Troisdorf on Wednesday evening who drove their car into a railroad bed. The check showed that both were driving without a driver’s license and with more than 1.4 per thousand alcohol in their blood, the police said on Thursday.
At around 9:50 p.m., the officers were called to Grabenstrasse. On the disused railroad track, they found an Opel Corsa and the two people – a 35-year-old Engelskirchen girl and a 34-year-old Mucher. Both stated that they had not driven the car.
Because of the suspicion of driving under alcohol, blood samples were taken from Mucher and Engelskirchenerin and criminal proceedings were initiated. The car was towed away and secured. (mab)
