This Tuesday, July 6, 2021, the Troadec trial continued at the Assize court from Loire-Atlantique to Nantes.
Both advocates general, Charlotte Gazzera and Stéphane Cantéro, held their indictments this afternoon. In particular, Charlotte Gazzera referred to “a nameless massacre” to describe the quadruple murder of the Troadec family.
They “delivered their reading of the file, which seems quite close to that of the civil parties. That is to say, a criminal scene which is not the one described by the accused, ”comments Maître Olivier Pacheu, one of the lawyers for the civil parties (he defends the aunts of Pascal Troadec).
Life imprisonment required
Hubert Caouissin is accused of the quadruple murder of his brother-in-law Pascal Troadec, from Brigitte, Sébastien and Charlotte Troadec. He is also accused of having violated the integrity of their corpses.
The life imprisonment was required against the accused, with a security period of twenty-two years.
Maître Thierry Fillon, Hubert Caouissin’s lawyer, does not say he is surprised by this sentence. “What surprised me rather, it is the arguments used to request it”, he adds.
Three years in prison required against Lydie Troadec
Lydie Troadec, the sister of Pascal Troadec and ex-partner of Hubert Caouissin, is accused of having “concealed or hidden the corpses” and of having “modified the inventory of a crime”.
Against her, three years imprisonment are required.
Maximum penalties

“The penalties required by the Advocates General correspond to the legal maximums incurred”, details Maître Cécile de Oliveira, one of the lawyers for the civil parties (she defends the sisters of Brigitte Troadec).
Tomorrow, Wednesday July 7, the defense lawyers will hold their oral arguments. Before the deliberations of the Troadec trial are made.
