Kieran Trippier marking debut together Newcastle United with embarrassing results. The Magpies defeated third division team, Cambridge United, in the event FA Cup.
Trippier officially became a new Newcastle player, Friday (7/1/2022). The 31-year-old full-back was imported from Atletico Madrid with a reported dowry of £12 million.

Kieran Trippier debuted in Newcastle United the next day. He was introduced by manager Eddie Howe in the FA Cup third round match against Cambridge United in St. James Park, Saturday (8/1) evening WIB.
Newcastle dominated the game against Cambridge from the start of the match. Even so, the home team failed to penetrate the back line of the League One team. The first half ended goalless.
Newcastle did not relax attacks in the second half. Instead of scoring goals, The Magpies surprised by Joe Ironside’s close-range shot. Cambridge leads 1-0.

Left behind by one goal, Newcastle surrounded the Cambridge defense to catch up. The Toon Army failed to score an equalizer until the referee blew the final whistle.
Victory at St. James Park brings Cambridge United qualify for the fourth round FA Cup. As for Newcastle, it was confirmed that they were eliminated from the oldest tournament in the world.
