The trip to Garbsen near Hanover was worthwhile for triple jumper Anna Keyserlingk from SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen. The 19-year-old jumped a clear best outdoor performance of 13.68 meters in the well-attended women’s competition (previously 13.26 meters) and thus clearly exceeded the norm for the U23 European Championships, which is 13.30 meters. In second place, just ten centimeters behind the German indoor champion Kira Wittmann, the sleeve athlete was the best U23 athlete, and with 13.62 m, 13.40 m and 13.34 m she had other good jumps in not so easy wind conditions her series. “Actually, the goal for the start of the season was just to tick off the EM norm. I was surprised that it went that far,” Keyserlingk said happily.
