The discussion between the Prime Minister and President of the Federal Council in Brasilia will focus on democracy and the economy. A specific project from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania will also be discussed.
Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania’s Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD) met with President Lula da Silva during her trip to Brazil. As the State Chancellery in Schwerin announced, the focus of the discussion in Brasilia was on strengthening democracy and promoting the economy through renewable energies.
The current President of the Federal Council, Schwesig, has been in Brazil since Saturday to talk about investments by German companies in the country. This includes a biogas project by a company from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the state of Paraná. “It was also about very specific cooperation projects between Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brazil,” Schwesig was quoted as saying in a statement.
