Trio.Diktion will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2022. During their many years of collaboration, the members of the quartet have developed an authentic and unique sound language that combines elements of classical chamber music with jazz compositions and a large portion of improvisation.
With their third studio album “Silver”, the musicians address the experiences of the last few years in the sensitive way that is typical of the band. The album moves between internal melancholy and desperate, pent-up energy.
The album’s title track of the same name is a mixture of electronic dance music for the corona-related private dance floor in the living room and echoes from the glorious era of big bands almost a hundred years ago. Matti Oehl’s singing solo lines fit elegantly into the accompanying voices. It is precisely this unique mixture that goes beyond all genre boundaries that makes Trio.Diktion’s new work so charming.
