To die United Methodist Church of the Trinity it is an ecclesiastical building United Methodist Church in downtown Denver, Colorado, USA. The church is listed as a National Historic Landmark.[1]
The Methodist congregation was incorporated in 1859. It is the oldest congregation in Denver and dates back to the founding of the city. The cornerstone of the present church building was laid on September 5, 1887 to a Neo-Gothic design by Robert S. Roeschlaub. Dedicated in December 1888, the church seated 1,300 and was the largest auditorium in Denver at the time. The church hall is on the second floor with the altar to the east and surrounding galleries. The large pipe organ with 4290 pipes was designed by GA Audsley of London and built by organ builder Hilborne Roosevelt of New York City. The so-called associated Trinity Building for community rooms was built in 1926.
In 1970 he was enrolled in the National Register of Historic Places.[2]
