Trinitas College removes extremist print after fuss | Inland

NH Nieuws reports this. The projection on the square of the Han Fortmann location showed an extremist who during the wintertime doubts whether he should set the timer for his bomb forward or backward by an hour. To the school board it seemed a funny way to remind the students of winter time. But not everyone saw the humor in it. Several parents went to the management to complain about the ‘provocative’ nature of the matter.

Ton Heijnen, chairman of the board of directors of the secondary school, informed NH Nieuws that he regretted the matter. “It is a well-known print, which we used to indicate that wintertime began. But afterwards we understand that the choice was very clumsy. ” The school will talk to the injured parents to clear the air. “As a school, we are aware of the mistake made. In any case, there was no intention whatsoever to hurt people ”, Heijnen explains.

Arnoud van Doorn

The controversial former PVV’er Arnoud van Doorn, who has since been converted to Islam, shared a tweet with the photo of the cartoon. “Why this provocation,” he added in English. Some then accuse Van Doorn of making Han Fortmann a target of extremists and provoking terrorist attacks.

Last month, a French teacher was beheaded in France after allegedly showing Mohammed cartoons in class. The 18-year-old perpetrator is said to have read about the teacher’s lessons via social media. He was shot by the police.
