The construction site area has been delimited, the vehicles are parked ready to enter and the materials are at the entrance of what, seen from the outside, almost looks like a cave. In fact, with the beginning of the week, work began on the construction of the underpass connecting Via dei Principati and via Santi Martiri Salerno which, as is evident from the sign placed at the beginning of the construction site area, should have been started on August 12th. A couple of months late, therefore, but the operations which cost almost two million serve to place one of the last pieces for the completion of the Trincerone East.
The planning
In fact, the works that were carried out inside the underpass of via Santi Martiri – which caused the closure of one of the main stretches of road in the entire city of Arechi – are also part of the same project, with the aim of create new interchange car parks in via Dalmatia. «The functionalisation and implementation of the new underpass – as stated in the technical data sheets of the intervention – will allow the creation of a new road connection such as to lighten the vehicular traffic on currently very busy road routes, in particular, on via dei Principali which represents one of the key roads, connecting with the Seafront».
