Member Commission III DPR RI Trimedya Pandjaitan encourages National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo consider disabling Inspector General Ferdy Sambo from his position in relation to the police shooting incident. Trimedya suggested that the investigation and ongoing investigation into the case would not be biased.
Trimedya said that he proposed three suggestions that the National Police Chief General Sigit immediately take. One of them, he said, was to disable Ferdy Sambo from the position of Head of the Propam Division.
“I propose there are 3 (should) be done by the National Police Chief, firstly to form a special team that has been formed, then the file is withdrawn to the National Police Headquarters, that hasn’t happened yet, maybe with the form of the special team.nonjobFirst,” said Trimedya when contacted, Friday (15/7/2022).

This PDIP politician reminded General Sigit that the step of deactivating Inspector General Ferdy Sambo would increase public confidence in the investigation of the case. He said that the Police had to be careful in investigating the case because there had been a lot of skepticism or prejudice that had occurred from the start.
“But it all depends on the National Police Chief, we can only make suggestions, but if it is carried out (deactivation), then the public’s trust that this investigation is carried out transparently, credible, professionally will be higher, because from the start there have been many suspicions, right,” he said.
“Hopefully next week, the Chief of the National Police will do it, maybe he will consider asking other PJUs (main officials), maybe he should also wing Wanja, who will replace her, isn’t easy, and she has to be careful too.
