The second child of Gabriela Slavova is the main reason for the conflict between the mother Krasimira Trifonova and her daughter with the murdered Peyo Peev.
This became clear today in the Court of Appeals in Sofia, which returned Gabriela Slavova to custody and confirmed the remand for the MFA employee.
Former MP Veliko Minkov claims to be the biological father of little Christian, and has filed a lawsuit in the District Court in Burgas for this. He, Peyo Peev’s father, as well as many of his friends crowded the courtroom where Krasimira Trifonova spoke for the first time. According to the investigation, it was she who strangled Peyo Peev on January 18, while her daughter Gabriela prevented him from getting out of the car.

However, Veliko Minkov’s version is different. He had repeatedly wanted to see the child since it was born, but her mother and daughter would not let him. At the same time, the case in Burgas is ongoing. The late Peyo Peev promised Veliko Minkov that he would recognize his paternity, with which Gabriela and her mother did not agree. Peev is forced to marry Gabriela three weeks before Minkov’s child is born so that he can see his own.
“Peyo was furious with jealousy, because in Veliko’s claim it says that there was love between him and Gabriela and they were going to start a family,” Krasimira Trifonova said emotionally in front of the court, but no longer crying in her voice.

“I’m not a psychologist or a psychiatrist, but this is a pathology. Her attitude towards me and Peyo was like biological material. There is gigantic resistance to being listed as the father of my child. Gabriela and her mother will delay the case, they will not provide DNA material for examination,” said Veliko Minkov. He again called on the authorities to do a DNA examination to make it clear that he is the father of the baby he has not yet seen. The child protection agency is reluctant to allow him to see the diaper at this stage.
By order of the social service, 6-year-old Michael and 4-month-old Christian have been placed with Peyo Peev’s parents until the court makes a final decision on where they will be raised in this situation. Gabriela Slavova’s lawyers stated in court that

from the SDVR and the child protection agency, and also appealed the order for their placement in the Administrative Court in Sofia.
The little ones, and especially the baby, were also the basis of the words of their grandmother Krasimira Trifonova before the court.

The big dispute about Gabriela Slavova’s children was carried over to the courtroom.

My measure must be mandatory house arrest, we are innocent!”, abruptly changed the tone of the commanding diplomat at the end of her speech. However, the court panel chaired by judge Plamen Datsov decided to leave her permanently in custody, as well as her daughter. According to him, even if the Administrative Court revokes the order to place the children with the victim’s parents, they will not be left in the care of the state because they are with their relatives. According to the magistrates, there is enough evidence that Krasimira and Gabriela committed the crime they are accused of. And it is especially brutal because the father of her child was killed.
In fact, the daughter confessed to the crime already during the conversation with the police, but she was not brought in as an accused then. The forensic experts testified about the words of the two women, but the court did not take them into account because they were beyond the scope of the Criminal Procedure Code and were said without the presence of a lawyer.

According to the defense of Gabriela, who did not come to the courtroom, mother and daughter were interrogated in adjacent rooms “so that the mother could hear her daughter crying.” There were also reports of mental and physical abuse at this early stage of the investigation.
However, the court referred to other evidence to permanently remand them.
In his questioning before an investigating police officer, Peyo Peev’s father said that he was

on the fateful evening because he was worried about him when he was meeting Crasimira and Gabriela. He saw the two get into his son’s car in front of their block. After minutes, the car drove away at full throttle. He also talked about his son’s complicated relationship with Gabriela. He spoke without prejudice and contradictions.
A police officer, who reviewed the footage from the camera that filmed the murder, is adamant that the mother and daughter entered it.
“There is a causal connection between the two entering the car, between what the police officer who watched the video material says, and the death of Peyo Peev,” said judge Datsov.
Orlin Peev’s testimony also quoted his words about the chocolate that Gabriela gave Peyo some time ago, and then he felt bad. However, his research has shown that he is not poisonous.
At the beginning of the hearing, the lawyers of Krasimira and Gabriela asked for it to be closed because

“These are samples from social networks that are public. It is absurd to claim intimacy. Requests to institutions have been submitted. In the document related to the paternity dispute, Veliko Minkov points out facts that are also present in the pre-trial proceedings. There is nothing intimate about them,” the court ruled.
According to lawyer Mariana Todorova, who defends Gabriela Slavova, there were no DNA traces on her client’s car, nor on the key.
