The showman, producer and leader of ITN Slavi Trifonov gave explanations to the Commission for Protection from Discrimination in connection with the song about Lena Borislavova, which his team released on the Internet. He revealed this himself in the rapper Yonislav Yotov’s podcast “Pri ToTo”.
Here is Trifonov’s version of the appearance of the song, which stirred up public opinion, and Borislavova threatened to sue the screenwriters: “The screenwriters brought me the text and said to me: ‘Look at this song, it could become a problem.'” That’s what happened before New Year’s. I told them, ‘Guys, this is a piece of shit, we’re not going to release it, you can do something cooler. But 2 months passed and they came again, they also made a video. They told me: “We made a music video for that song that you said was stupid, and Evgeni Dimitrov made the music for us,” Trifonov said.
“I hadn’t even heard it, but I told them to play it. To this day, I’ve only heard the first verse. I have no idea what they’re singing about, but they should be free to sing it. And then it started – the Anti-Discrimination Commission, The European Commission, I was sexist, she cries. And the screenwriters played me a song about Borisov, I said to myself: “Now they will give me to the Commission for the Protection of Animals”, the ITN leader commented to Toto.
