Trier-Saarburg: Driver gets into oncoming traffic: Two injured

A driver got into the oncoming lane on the federal highway 268 between Pellingen and Trier and was seriously injured. According to initial findings, the 61-year-old from the Trier-Saarburg district was traveling too fast, the police said. Her car turned left into the oncoming lane late Monday afternoon and collided sideways with an oncoming truck. The collision caused her car to skid and collided with a car driving behind the truck. The 21-year-old car driver was slightly injured, the 42-year-old truck driver was unharmed. The 61-year-old was taken to a hospital.
