Darmstadt (ots) – Two trick thieves stole tobacco goods worth over 200 euros in a gas station on Saturday (July 10th). At around 3:30 p.m., the criminal duo had entered the sales room on Kasinostraße. While one of the strangers involved the cashier in a conversation, his accomplice seized the moment and grabbed twelve cans of tobacco from the shelf. With the booty, both then fled.
The men have been described as being around 30 to 40 years old and of slender stature. One of the perpetrators was carrying a beige backpack and was wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans, dark shoes and a black peaked cap at the time of the crime. His companion wore a black jacket, a dark cap and dark jeans. He carried a blue shoulder bag with an orange lanyard attached to it. Both strangers wore white mouth and nose covers. The Darmstadt criminal police K24 has taken over the further investigations. Witnesses who can provide information about the identities of the persons described are asked to report to the officials (phone number 06151/9690).
