“After reading Lilija Berzinska’s book, I realized that it is a grateful material for the Puppet Theater. And that’s what we and the actors have done, “the director introduces the production process. He promises that it will be interesting – there will be elements of the circus, there will be dolls, there will be music, a demonstration of different skills and abilities. “But there is also a story and an event. In fact, the story is about the strength of the team. The strangest and most special circus artists at the same time – pigs – come together to create an unforgettable show. It’s a mission for everyone to use their strengths to build good things, and each of these talented artists is unusual in being able to perform tricks that no one else in the world can do. When a guest who doesn’t live on the planet unexpectedly arrives at the rukis circus, the ruksu team creates a plan of help that will require the virtuoso and hard-working skills of each participant. The story has a good ending – the mission has been completed, “says E. Kaufelds.
The director is convinced that children and adults need to disconnect, forget, laugh, and enjoy for at least an hour and a half. The show is for families, and all circus rooms will be interesting for viewers of all ages. A team of actors will act on the stage, clearly showing that an enthusiastic show is being created, helping each other, because sometimes one doll is led by even three actors.
The director is ready to take responsibility for working in unusual conditions, because everything is subordinated to this genre in the Puppet Theater, but the big stage of the Riga Latvian Society House, where the show will take place, must be inhabited. E. Kaufeld is assisted by a creative team: set designer, puppet and costume designer Kristaps Kramiņš, music authors Edgars Šubrovskis and Sniedze Prauliņa, lighting artist Uldis Andersons and actors Baiba Vanaga, Anrijs Sirmais, Miķelis Žideļūns, Rihards Zelezņš.
