How to link a landline number to a WhatsApp account
As we explained before, it is only possible to link a fixed line to WhatsApp to make calls. In order to activate this function, you must first download the Business version of WhatsApp, which is the one that will allow you to connect it to your landline.

If the idea is to use the landline number from a cell phone, the WhatsApp standard is enough, as long as the app has not been linked to a mobile line. Finally, this trick is only possible if you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, since the number is fixed, you will not be able to use the data.
WhatsApp: how to activate your account on a landline phone
- Have the landline connected and working
- Download and open the WhatsApp Business application on a cell phone
- Press “Accept and continue”
- Select the call option and then “Use a different number”
- Enter the landline number
- Touch “Next”
- Verify that the phone number has no errors and press “Ok”
- Wait at least one minute for the “Call me” option to be enabled
- Once enabled, press it
- Now WhatsApp will call the landline
- Answer and write down the series of numbers that have been dictated and then type them in the WhatsApp Business application in the verification step
