Tributes pour in after Jean-Claude Putoa’s death

Jean-Claude Putoa has passed away. This motorcycle enthusiast left suddenly, according to his relatives. Today, many are paying tribute to him. The president of the Fazer club will be buried tomorrow Thursday at the Pirae cemetery, after a wake this Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Jean-Claude Putoa is no more. The president of the Fazer club died suddenly on Monday, plunging his family, relatives and friends into deep sadness. Since then, tributes have been pouring in.

“Jean Claude Putoa worked his entire life to develop motor sports, particularly motorcycling with his club Fazer and during his years at the head of the French Polynesia motorcycling federation, before resigning in 2014”the government said in its message of condolence.

“He was a great man, he was special, he had his way of being, special but which went with everyone without exception. He worked in his passion for his passion until the end”Rai Rainui wrote on Facebook.

This Wednesday at 6pm is scheduled the vigil at the fare amuiraa of Tiona, located at the entrance to the Pirae racecourse, in order to pay tribute to him. Tomorrow Thursday August 15 at 8am the religious blessing will take place also at the fare amuiraa of Tiona, which will be followed at 9:30am by the lifting of the body. It is at 10am that he will be buried at the communal cemetery of Pirae after the racecourse.

On Facebook, Steve Orirau, from the Fazer club, launches an appeal to come “many friends support and accompany our president to his final resting place in order to show that his passion for motorsport will last forever.”
