Tribute to Virus arrives in the city of Rafaela: “The music of the eighties opened a new door to the music scene”
This is what Federico Moura, nephew of the iconic Fede Moura, said in a conversation about the tribute that will arrive in Rafaela.
Federico Moura, son of Julio Moura and nephew of Federico, is preparing an emotional tribute to the legendary national rock band that will come to Rafaela. In an emotional conversation, Federico shared how the music of the eighties marked an unforgettable era both on the national and international scene. “It transports me to those wonderful times when I discovered music, I picked up that first guitar and it transports me mainly to that and then to all the wonderful music that took place in the eighties,” he said.
Federico stressed that, although his last name has opened doors for him in the music world, it has also been a challenge, as people always expect to hear Virus songs in his performances. However, in recent years, he has decided to embrace that legacy and join Mario Serra, former drummer of Virus, in homage and tribute projects, such as Viralizados. “People in this era, since we talk about the 80s, find a place to connect with that music, but through live music,” he commented.
The tribute to Virus not only seeks to revive the band’s classics, but also to offer new generations an experience close to what those iconic concerts were like. Federico invites the public to relive the magic of the eighties, connecting with the musicians live and feeling the energy that only a concert can provide. “Now I ask for cell phones, please turn off the cell phones,” concluded Federico, referring to how times have changed, but the spirit of the music remains the same.
