From 4pm on this Wednesday, the procession set off slowly, with dignity, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. In the front row the children, followed by Lola’s father, mother and brothers, dressed in a white T-shirt that looks like him and with his first name. Dozens of university students surrounded them, wearing the same shirt. They were all there, in the rain, some with a white rose in their hand, to pay homage to the 12-year-old girl, brutally murdered on October 14 in the building where she lived.
So that Lola’s murder isn’t “only a pain, but also a hope”her parents have announced they want to get involved “the creation of a foundation or association to help children who are victims of all forms of violence”.
