The Los Angeles Lakers yesterday released their superstar Russell Westbrook to Utah in a three-team deal involving eight players.
From Utah to the Lakers comes, among other things, the 26-year-old guard Malik Beasley.
Crashed the relationship
The move sees him become a teammate of Scotty Pippen Jr, the son of Beasley’s previously high-profile fling.
Just over two years ago, the 26-year-old dated Larsa Pippen, the now 48-year-old Real Housewives of Miami star.
The romance continued during a period when Beasley was still married, leading to his then-wife filing for divorce.
Voices are raised
A few months later, the relationship with Larsa Pippen ended. After that, the NBA player returned to his wife and today they have a child together.
Now worrying voices are being raised in the United States that Beasley’s history with mother Pippen could damage the relationship with son Scotty at his new club.

Jordans son
Larsa is the ex-wife of Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen and besides Scotty Pippen Jr they have three more children together.
Today, Larsa Pippen is together with Marcus Jordan, Michael Jordan’s second oldest son.
The LA Lakers are still out of the playoffs and, with record holder LeBron James on the team, are chasing the last spot.
