Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) – Because he has lived a luxurious life at the expense of his partner, a 28-year-old has been sentenced to two years suspended sentence by the Frankfurt district court. In addition, he has to make amends for the damage of around 40,000 euros. The court found on Tuesday computer fraud and commercial fraud. The judgment is not yet final (Ref .: 3360 Js 200119/19).

The defendant had pretended to the woman that he needed the money to set up a textile business and to repay debts to the health insurance company. Later he wanted to repay her. In reality, however, he bought expensive luxury watches and afforded holidays and a car with his own chauffeur. At the same time, he also had a relationship with another woman. When it all came out, the victim reported him. The woman had borrowed the money herself from a bank.

In court, the defendant made a confession and paid a partial amount of 5000 euros to the woman. The sentence was suspended on condition that the remaining amount was also paid. The prosecutor had asked for a prison sentence of two and a half years.
