Previously, through a video, the national president of the Confederation of Bar Associations and Associations of Mexico (CONCAAM), Sergio Delfino Vargas, called on the lawyers of Aguascalientes to demonstrate this Monday, December 11, against the modifications to the vacation period of the personnel of the State Judicial Branch, which eliminate the previously established periods and establish staggered vacations.
“A call to all of you so that on Monday (December 11) at 7:40 in the morning we will be present at the facilities of the Judiciary and make a more energetic protest where we let the Judiciary Council know that we are not in favor.” agreement in their decision making. Vargas explains that CONCAAM sought an alternative to the measure taken by the Judiciary Council to modify vacation periods; However, he mentions that they did not have a response in their favor.
“We wanted the Judiciary, through the Judicial Council, to resume the agreement issued on November 15 of the current year where they remove the vacations that by custom have been given in Aguascalientes and that nothing had ever happened. We made a request list, meetings with the president of the Supreme Court and with several personnel of the Supreme Court of Justice, however they ignored it.”
It is worth mentioning that on November 15, the Judiciary Council of the State Judicial Branch eliminated the April, summer and December vacation periods for workers of the State Judicial Branch starting in 2024, so they must now take their vacation breaks. staggered in two periods: 10 days during the first semester and 15 days during the second semester.
This determination also affects jurists, since they work jointly with this institution.
