Trial in Newcastle: poison instead of vaccination to inherit house?

A man in England disguised as a nurse is said to have tried to kill his mother’s partner with a fake corona booster vaccination. According to the prosecution, the aim is to eliminate him as the heir to the house.

That’s why the 53-year-old, who is a doctor himself, is now on trial for attempted murder. He denies the murder charge, but has admitted to having administered a harmful substance. The aim was simply to cause mild pain.

However, the public prosecutor is convinced that the general practitioner wanted to kill the man with a sophisticated plan. Accordingly, he sent the 73-year-old a fake letter from the NHS offering him a check-up visit.

Trial in Newcastle: Nurse’s disguise was exposed

When the man responded, the 53-year-old disguised himself with a coat, flat cap, gloves, mask and tinted glasses and spoke in broken English. The masquerade was not initially noticed because the mother asked the supposed nurse to take her blood test. After an examination, he then assured the victim that a booster vaccination was necessary – and, according to the prosecution, injected a poison.

The 73-year-old screamed in pain and the suspected perpetrator ran away. When the partner noticed that the nurse had the same stature as her son, the victim asked his own family doctor – and the fraud was discovered.

The victim had to stay in hospital for weeks

After a short time the arm darkened and blisters developed. Eventually, she was diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis, a rare and life-threatening bacterial infection, according to the lawsuit. The man remained in the hospital for weeks. It is still unclear which substance was administered.
