Trial Court Rejects Bail Plea of Accused in Karuvannur Cooperative Bank Fraud Case

Kochi: The trial court rejected the bail plea of ​​the remanded accused in the Karuvannur Cooperative Bank fraud case. CPM leader and Vadakanchery Municipal Standing Committee Chairman PR Aravindakshan and former senior accountant of the bank CK Jills filed the bail application. Ernakulam PMLA Court’s verdict.

ED has found that PR Aravindakshan, the third accused in the case, has laundered black money. Documents of Aravindakshan’s financial transactions with the main accused P Satish Kumar and phone conversations proving this were produced in the court. ED’s contention was that the accused should not be granted bail pending investigation.

However, Aravindakshan told the court that the allegation of money laundering is false and the financial transactions made through his account were during the quarry and hotel business. Aravindakshan has also informed that he was close to Satish Kumar as his former driver. Aravindakshan was arrested from his house in ED Thrissur on September 26.
