Tresa Motors Launches V0.1, the First Electric Truck in India and Beyond

Jakarta

An electric vehicle manufacturer from India, Tresa Motors, launched its first electric truck called V0.1. The shape of this truck is quite strange, with an all-box style, then there is a kind of depression in the front fascia.

Quoted from indianautosblog, this truck is built on the Axial Flux Motor Platform, FLUX350. This electric truck is designed for the global market, with battery technology that is claimed to be safe for medium to heavy class electric trucks.

This electric truck has a power of up to 350 kW, supported by an Axial Flux motor known for its compact size and light weight. Developed entirely in India, and puts Tresa Motors at the forefront of global innovation.

Tresa Motors’ electric medium and heavy trucks are a big leap for them in the commercial vehicle industry. Electric trucks offer enormous power, efficiency and environmental benefits.

With this launch, Tresa Motors will revolutionize the electric vehicle landscape in India and beyond. Tresa Motors will host the launch of the Model V electric truck in the second quarter of 2023. In the same segment, the Tresa electric truck competes with the Tesla Cybertruck and Ford F-150 Lightning made in the United States.

For information, currently India has about 2.8 million trucks on the road which contribute to 60% of emissions in India. The Indian government is also starting to try to overcome this with a vehicle restriction policy in 2024. In addition, the presence of full-battery electric vehicles, both private cars and commercial vehicles such as electric trucks, is another effort to support global emission reductions.
