Most of the soccer world will be surprised to learn that Trent Alexnader-Arnold only turned 23 on Thursday.
The Liverpool right-back already has a trophy cabinet that most retired players would dream of, having won the Premier League and the Champions League.
But it says a lot about the quality at Gareth Southgate’s disposal that Alexander-Arnold is not the first or second choice in his role.

Meanwhile, three of Alexander-Arnold’s young teammates in England are considered more valuable than him.
According to Transfermarkt, the Reds defender is the eighth most valuable player aged 23 and under in world football, with an estimated market value of £ 67.5 million.
But the English make up half of the top ten, with Manchester United duo Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford third and fourth, while Manchester City’s Phil Foden and Chelsea’s Mason Mount are seventh and eighth respectively.
