The Trends Center for Research and Consultation published a new study in which it presented a reading of the two documents issued by the two wings of the Brotherhood: “Mounir’s Front” and “The Change Movement”, examining their implications and timing.
The study, titled “The Two Brotherhood Documents: A Reading of the Symbolic Connotations of Violence”, stated that the front issue of the Brotherhood General Office, or what are called the “change movement” or “new Kemalists”, the first document was received at the conference held by the office on October 15, 2022 entitled “The first document … The political question”.
The study, prepared by researcher Munir Adib, who specializes in the affairs of extremist movements, showed that the announcement of the document came just hours after Ibrahim Munir’s Front in London announced its political document, to cut the way for young people. of the office that they consider themselves the representatives of the Brotherhood, since the owners of each document see that they The expressions of the Brotherhood’s ideas and the line of organization, and what the first founder, Hassan Al-Banna, proposed.
The study indicated that the selection of the General Office of the Brotherhood for the month of October to announce its document occurred in harmony with the sixth anniversary of the killing of the founder of the specific committees of the Brotherhood, Muhammad Kamal, who was killed in October 2016. , indicating the attempt by the Movement for Change to suggest that it is an expression of all believers in revolutionary action and a framework for rallying opponents abroad. Inviting various opposition figures, such as Dr. Seif Abdel-Fattah and Salafist figures such as Ahmed Maulana.
The study stated that the two documents are different in form, but identical in content: both express the point of view of the Brotherhood hostile to Arab regimes, but each of them has its own view on the method of comparison with these regimes. The General Office sees the need to continue what is called revolutionary work, while Ibrahim Munir’s document sees the situation calm down.
