The new Emonda features a completely redesigned frame, using Trek’s Alpha Aluminium tubing, as well as “Invisible Weld” technology and a gram trimming design to make it lightweight while preserving the smooth Emonda ride quality. Like its carbon counterpart, the Emonda ALR now includes Kammtail aero tube shaping and integrated cabling for an aero boost. Shimano 105 mechanical and Di2 versions will be available, and Trek’s Bontrager brand will supply finishing kit and wheels. The Emonda ALR features Trek’s H1.5 geometry to minimize aero losses and aid power delivery, as well as a threaded T47 bottom bracket to minimize creaking. The frame will also have 100/142mm x 12mm thru-axle frame spacings and will be disc brake compatible only.
