Mayor Ricardo Curutchet together with the Secretary of Public Management, Viviana Mignani, reviewed the situation of the district and announced the beginning of the Forestry Plan
First, Ricardo referred to the celebrations held within the framework of the patron saint festivities of our town and highlighted that “we were able to celebrate and remember,” but he also stressed the importance of beginning to “give it a framework of community celebrations where everyone can participate.” In this regard, he said that the second edition of the Marcos Paz Crossing was held, where cyclists from other districts participated.
On the other hand, yesterday was the Labor Day and the mayor commented that last Friday he participated in a meeting “with representatives of practically all the union organizations that work in the district and with the presence of the Minister of Labor of the province of Buenos Aires, Walter Correa.” In addition, he announced that starting this month, “workers who belong to the municipal family will be assigned a day of recognition,” which will be the day of their birthday. “The idea is to have a gesture, a recognition for those who make an important effort without affecting the municipal economy,” he added.
He then reminded the community that next Thursday at the Geo Club, and Friday at the headquarters of the Volunteer Firefighters, a new operation of the AcercAR program will be carried out. “To all those resources that come from the Nation, we add the part of Your Municipality in the Neighborhood, so all the neighbors who have some procedure to carry out, take advantage of it,” he said.
He also announced that on Thursday “the decentralized AFIP office will be operational, so those periodic operations at the Paseo Cultural will no longer be carried out and services will be provided at the office here, two blocks from the City Hall.”
For his part, Mignani pointed out that “starting in May, which are the months without R, the pruning season begins.” Regarding forestation, he invited neighbors to approach the Municipal Nursery in order to request two trees per sidewalk, according to the dimensions of the land. In turn, he announced that “a survey of the dead trees in the district was being carried out. On Piedras Street, 24 trees have been removed and have already been replaced, and now they will continue along Sarmiento and then Avellaneda.” He also confirmed that the Forestry Plan will formally begin on Thursday, “beginning at the request of the neighbors, the thinning and forestation in the Bicentenario neighborhood.”
Finally, she recalled that on some arteries, such as Sarmiento and Piedras streets, “there are 20 meters or so of yellow and white painted curb with a corresponding sign, indicating the loading and unloading space for merchandise.” The secretary pointed out that to avoid fines, these spaces must be free from Monday to Saturday until 9:30 and from 12 to 15:30.
