A group of scientists from Field Museum University uses artificial intelligence while hunting for meteorites in Antarctica/Daily Star Photo.
At that time, they managed to find five meteorites that had been trapped in the Antarctic ice sheet for tens of thousands of years. One of the most special findings is a monster meteorite measuring almost eight kilograms or the size of a melon.

“Finding meteorites of this size is very rare and really exciting. Studying meteorites can make us better understand our place in the universe. The bigger the meteorite, the easier it is for us to understand our solar system,” explained Maria Valdes from the University’s Field Museum.
The discovery of the monster meteorite was made possible by the use of artificial intelligence (AI). The AI technology allows them to map the area carefully.
