Tre Kronor makes changes to the team after the crushing victory against Denmark

Preparations for the World Cup in Finland are underway and Tre Kronor is in Halmstad for a double meeting with Denmark. In the 6-1 win on Wednesday, Oskarshamn’s top scorer Patrik Karlkvist, among others, made his national team debut and he scored both goals and two assists.

– We know that he and (Kim) Rosdahl remind each other. They have size, are both raiders, maybe not the fastest in the world, but have good shots and good game perception and are well on the court both with and without the puck. Then they are threats in the attack zone, says Tre Kronor’s assistant national team captain Marcus Ragnarsson to HockeyNews.se about the Oskarshamn duo Karlkvist and Rosdahl.

Ragnarsson again:

– What I like about “Karla” is that he can shoot a little at any time, a surprising shot too. Then he has a little touch and had a good assist to (Mathias) Bromé (4-1 in powerplay). There’s a lot of play in him.

Ragnarsson was pleased with a number of debutants in Tre Kronor.

– Filip Roos made his debut and did well. Linus Karlsson from Skellefteå was also fun to watch. I also think that (Oskar) Lang and (Nils) Åman from Leksand played well together. They are skating strong and did a lot right out there.

Oscar Dansk did well in the goal, but in the second match Örebro star Jhonas Enroth steps into the box. It is three years ago that the 33-year-old world champion last participated in Tre Kronor.

– There will be some changes. (Jhonas) Enroth comes in and we replace two slopes. We have eight backs and play with six of them so they can play a lot. It will be easier to get into the game and there will be better flow. (Carl-Johan) Lerby and (Adam) Ollas Mattsson come in today, so they can show themselves. (Calle) Själin and Jeppe Pettersson are resting.

On the forward side, there will be a change.

– (Filip) Cederqvist is allowed to rest and “Thörna” (Henrik Törnqvist) comes in, says Ragnarsson.
