Travis Scott and Live Nation must rule on $ 750 million lawsuits

When panic and chaos broke out during the concert of rap artist Travis Scott on November 5, it led to such a violent crowd that ten people lost their lives.

Hundreds were injured and treated. Several are still hospitalized. The ten victims were all young people, with the youngest being nine years old.

Must cover health damage

According to TMZ is Travis Scott and Live Nation among several who now have to decide on a lawsuit of 750 million dollars from more than 125 people. The lawsuit was filed by attorney Tony Buzbee.

Buzbee believes that Travis Scott and concert organizers failed to plan the concert properly, and that security personnel were not well enough trained.

According to the plaintiffs, the $ 750 million lawsuit will cover both physical and mental health damage, as well as loss of life. The family of Axel Acosta (21), who lost his life during the concert, are among the plaintiffs.

Was offered a refund

– No sum will ever make the plaintiffs whole again, no sum will ever save lost human lives. But a sum can help or make up for the damages and losses that the plaintiffs go through, says Buzbee.

Following the festival tragedy, concertgoers were offered reimbursement from Travis Scott and Live Nation. “The attempt at reimbursement was a grotesque and transparent effort by the defendants to limit their liability in retrospect,” the lawsuit states.

Sources close to Travis Scott say that the artist was not aware of the seriousness of what happened among the audience when he performed. In a video from the artist’s own Instagram account, Scott says he could not imagine how bad the situation was then and there.

According to the website TMZ, the police are conducting investigations to confirm the cause of death.

Defendant by several

Earlier in November, the website stated TMZ that several people had chosen to sue both Scott, Live Nation and the artist Drake for negligence. Many believed that Travis Scott’s concert history should have been beaten down earlier, and criticized the lack of planning before the Astroworld festival went off the rails once again.

In one of the lawsuits, 23-year-old Kristian Paredes, who was seriously injured at the concert in Houston on November 5, wrote that he felt a sudden push when Scott went on stage.

– Many begged security guards hired by Live Nation Entertainment for help, but were overlooked, it says in the lawsuit.

The law firm Thomas J. Henry Law previously confirmed that this was one of the first lawsuits in the wake of the tragedy at the Astroworld festival.

– He continued to perform even when the crowd was out of control and the chaos continued, it says in the lawsuit.

Lawyer Ben Crump has also filed a lawsuit on behalf of a 21-year-old concertgoer. Descriptions of chaos and desperation were also given in this lawsuit.

According to Billboard, several of the lawsuits contained strong criticism of Scott. Several believed that the disaster was a direct result of “a motivation for profit at the expense of the concert goers’ health and safety”.
