KOMPAS.com – One of the volunteers for the Sinovac vaccine test, China, was reportedly exposed to Covid-19.
Regarding this information, Prof. Kusnandi Rusmil, Head of the Clinical Trial Research Team for Phase 3 of the Covid-19 Vaccine from the Faculty of Medicine, UNPAD, confirmed this.
According to Kusnandi, these volunteers are currently being closely monitored.
Even though he was tested positive for Covid-19, his condition is known to be in good condition.

Travel out of town
Kusnandi explained, the volunteer who tested positive for Covid-19 was known to have traveled outside the city after receiving the first injection.
“After getting the first injection, the volunteers traveled outside the city,” said Kusnandi in a release on Thursday (10/09/2020).
After traveling from out of town, the volunteer also received a second injection.
The reason is, at that time the person concerned was clinically known to be healthy and without complaints.
However, he could not confirm whether the volunteers received an injection of a vaccine in the form of a killed virus or a placebo injection in the form of a solution without the vaccine.
Given that in the clinical trial of the vaccine, the volunteers were divided into two groups, namely the vaccine and placebo and carried out on principle observer blind or disguised.
