The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) is rewriting technical rules regarding domestic travel and transportation requirements. The new rules will be adjusted to the emergency PPKM guidelines that apply from 3-20 July 2021, including questions COVID-19 vaccination card.
“The Ministry of Transportation together with the COVID-19 Handling Task Force and related Ministries/Institutions is currently preparing a Circular to technically regulate the travel requirements of domestic people and transportation, adjusting to these guidelines,” said Ministry of Transportation Spokesman Adita Irawati, Thursday (1/7/2021 ).
Adita stated that his party as the regulator of the transportation sector is committed to helping suppress the surge in COVID-19 cases in Indonesia.
“Including by implementing provisions regarding domestic travel and transportation during the emergency PPKM period,” he said.
In the emergency PPKM implementation guide for the transportation sector, it is explained that public transportation (public vehicles, mass transportation, taxis (conventional and online) and rental/rental vehicles) is applied with a maximum capacity setting of 70%. Mandatory implementation with stricter health protocols.
Domestic travelers using long-distance modes of transportation (airplanes, buses and trains) must show COVID-19 vaccination card (minimum vaccine dose I).
In addition to the COVID-19 vaccine card, travelers must include PCR (H-2) results for aircraft, as well as Antigen (H-1) results for other long-distance transportation modes during emergency PPKM.
