Travel tips from Tokyo to Georgia

Whether goldfish in Tokyo, wolves in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania or amusement and historical flair in Georgia: These three new sights are something for the bucket list.

Tokyo (dpa / tmn) – In Japan, the goldfish is not just a pet, but a symbol of peace, wealth and happiness. In the capital Tokyo, visitors can now marvel at 30,000 specimens of different species in one place in brightly lit glass structures – in the new Art Aquarium Museum in the Nihonbashi district.

The artist behind the exhibition regards the goldfish – Kingyo in Japanese – as living works of art, as the Tokyo tourism agency explains. The Federal Foreign Office is currently warning against tourist trips to Japan. (www.artaquarium.jp/en)

New wolf path in the Müritz National Park

At several stations such as a fairy tale hut, children and parents should be able to playfully deal with the subject of wolves. The nature trail is not quite finished yet and should have 13 stations one day. According to the Schwerin Ministry of Agriculture, around eight wolf packs live in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and one is also said to hunt in the Müritz National Park.
