The brutal pandemic of coronavirus (COVID-19) that forced Spain to enter a state of alarm led to a quarantine of which there are fewer and fewer restrictions, although many remain. For example, travel between provinces is still prohibited… except for exceptions that we explain below. An issue that has families still without seeing each other and also many people without the possibility of going to their second home. Therefore, here we ask ourselves When and how will travel between provinces be allowed? Be careful because there is a great and important news!
Jose Luis Ábalos, Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, said in an interview in TVE, than in phase 3 “mobility can be established within the same Autonomous Community or even between Autonomous Communities that are in the same phase “. Each community will have powers to allow or not mobility as long as they are in phase 3.
Juanma Moreno, president of the Community of Andalusia, has communicated this Saturday, June 6 that From next Monday, June 8, mobility will be allowed throughout the Andalusian community. For the moment, yes, the Andalusians will not be able to move to another province that is outside the community.
Definitive free freedom: between June 21 and July 1
It should be remembered that the Autonomous Communities will start to manage their own state of alarm as soon as they enter phase 3 (most will do so on June 8), the duration of which may be shortened. Pedro Sánchez, President of the Government, commented that: “From June 8 until June 21, there will be entire autonomous communities that are already in the new normal and the state of alarm can be lifted“.
Therefore, when the state of alarm in Spain ends on June 21, there will be total freedom. Also, in case there is any doubt with some areas, as Pedro Sánchez said on May 31, “if there is no deviation in the evolution of the epidemic, On July 1, the entire Spanish territory can regain full freedom of movement in each and every one of its corners. I insist, if things go the way they are. “
