TrashTalk New York NBA Trip: Update 1 Month Before Takeoff! NYC Itinerary, Weather, and Injury Update

On January 30, 2024, 70 basketball enthusiasts will travel to New York with TrashTalk. The opportunity to take stock one month before takeoff, between two huge upcoming matches, three ideas for excursions in the Big Apple and four suitcase options!

Hundreds of you were interested.

70 of you officially took part in the adventure!

The very first TrashTalk Trip in history, in collaboration with Gate-One Voyagesstarted with an incredible wave last September.

In just 12 hours, 70 crazy people decided to make their dream come true: seeing 2 NBA games in New York.

However, once the reservations have been made, we very quickly find ourselves in organizational and administrative matters which can be much less funky than a sweet nocturnal dream, sitting in Madison Square Garden in the middle of money time.

Hence the need for an update 1 month before departure, in order to give you some good prospects (and be able to flex in front of everyone).

I am therefore speaking above all – with Benoît from the TrashTalk team – to the privileged 70 who have chosen to leave with us!

#COMPLETE ON-SITE PROGRAM

By the end of the month, you will receive the complete program planned on site in New York, detailed day by day.

Spoiler: you’re not ready!

A clever mix of activities, discovery of the city that never sleeps and free time, so that everyone can enjoy New York in their own way.

It must be said that everyone has their own level of experience with NYC, and with the United States! So if this is your 2-3-4-15th time in New York, the program has been designed so that you are free to do whatever you like. And if it’s your very first time, we’ll guide you step by step so that the magic of the Big Apple accompanies you throughout your stay.

In this sense, you will see that there will be both a common core of activities to enjoy together, but also free time accompanied by activity suggestions from us! So if you want to do it all with Bibi and Ben, it will be possible, and if you want to live your little solo life on site with the unlimited metro card that will be given to you upon your arrival, it will also be possible.

Well yeah, everything has been planned, that’s how it is with us and at Gate-One Voyages.

In the meantime, we are in the process of scheduling the tour of New York by boat as well as the visits to the legendary playgrounds so that the timings are well aligned on site!

See you in a few days, in your sweet mailbox <3

# NEW YORK WEATHER

I took the liberty of doing a little comparative study over the last few years in New York between January 30 and February 1.

The idea? Have a quick overview of the weather that awaits us there, even if we know that it can vary from year to year.

No surprise, if you planned to bring back in flip-flops you took the wrong trip! It’s going to be cold, and you’re going to discover the magic of New York lit up in winter!

2020: between 5 and 12 degrees

2021: between 1 and 3 degrees

2022: between 2 and 8 degrees

2023: between 3 and -6 degrees (lol)

So, already plan to wear warm clothes because the cold will have no mercy on all of us there.

We’ll talk about suitcases and down jackets again in a very short time together, but at least you know what we’re going to venture into hehehe.

# INJURY UPDATE

After a big start to the season on their part, LeBron James and Kevin Durant are taking a little rest at the moment.

Perfect timing for us, better that they recharge the batteries now rather than at the end of January.

I’m talking about LeBron and KD first, but we’ll obviously be watching Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, Anthony Davis, Devin Booker and company night after night.

Nets – Suns then Knicks – Lakers are on the program, we will obviously keep you informed of medical updates but for the moment, everything is going well!

And as these lines are written, Evan Fournier is still a member of the New York Knicks… which could also change in the coming weeks.

# QUESTIONS – ANSWERS – COMMUNICATION

If you have any questions, of course, don’t hesitate to ask us!

But to do things well, let’s stay grouped and organized.

  • For everything related to travel logistics: contact Gate-One by email ([email protected]) or by DM on their Instagram account!
  • For everything else: contact us by email ([email protected]) or by DM on our Instagram account!

We will soon create conversation channels so that we can communicate more easily together.

You can start by taking a look at the FAQ published some time ago.

With a few weeks to go before departure, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask Gate-One!

_____

We will come back to you very quickly with the complete and detailed program of a stay that should mark your memories forever! Watch your mailbox, and your phone too… take off in a very short time, all together in New York! Can’t wait !!
