What are the most powerful phone brands in the world? In one breath, we can mention manufacturers such as Samsung, Apple, Huawei and Xiaomi. However, there is a part of the world where the king is someone completely different. This is Africa. Transition rules there. What kind of manufacturer is this? This is the Chinese owner of such brands Tecno, Infinix At least Phone. They are also available on the Polish market, but they have not succeeded in Africa again here.
Transition king of Africa. Samsung is going down
Transition occupies up to 50% of the African smartphone market. Here, it is clear that the Chinese company does not intend to give up ground to any competitor. Transsion has held its position consistently for a long time. Samsung is in second place, but in this case it is a very distant position. Samsung has only 18% local market. Just 2.5 years ago, everything looked much better for the Koreans and they had about 35% of the market share. Samsung once again shows that it is not very good at competing with Chinese rivals in less affluent markets.
A bronze medal you deserve it Xiaomi of their 12%. Realme and Oppo occupy the other two places in the top five. Chinese brands belonging to the BBK Electronics concern have 6% and 5% of the market, respectively. It is not known, however, why Canalys combined the Transsion brands and the Xiaomi brands (ie Poco and Redmi) when presenting the products, but they did not do so with BBK Electronics.
