Transgender actor Elliot Page, 33, divorced his wife Emma Fortner, 26.
Influential US media such as CNN reported on the 26th (local time) that Elliott Page and Emma Fortner were divorced after three years. The two reportedly said in an official statement, “After deep thoughts and thoughts, we began to separate from last summer and made a difficult decision of divorce. We decided to respect each other as much as possible and remain close friends” He said.
It’s been two months since Elliott Page came out with transgender people. Not only fans but also in the industry were surprised by the sudden news of their divorce. When Elliott Page came out, Emma Fortner posted a post on her social media, saying, “I am very proud of Page. Please support a lot of queers such as transgender people. Page’s existence is a gift in itself. I love her.” He has shown affection.
Elliott Page said, “I want to share with you that I am transgender.
The pronoun that refers to me is he or them (not her).” He revealed that he changed his name from Ellen Page to Elliott Page.
Earlier, he came out as a homosexual at a human rights forum in 2014 saying, “It was hard to lie,” and he married Emma Fortner, a same-sex lover in 2018.
He debuted with the movie’Pit Pony’ in 1997, and appeared in the movies’Hard Candy’,’X-Men’ series, and’Inception, Rome with Love’ directed by Christopher Nolan. He was nominated for Best Actress at the Academy Awards for the movie’Juno’.
