Indonesia’s Transportation Minister, Budi Karya Sumadi, has pledged to support the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in its efforts to investigate an alleged bribery scandal affecting railway development projects. Ten individuals, including Ministry officers, have been named as suspects, with four accused of giving bribes and six of receiving them. Cash, debit cards, and other evidence were seized during a recent raid. Sumadi has said his Ministry will cooperate fully in the anti-corruption investigation and expressed the commitment to enhancing supervision to ensure that projects meet transportation safety requirements.
