On the Metzange side, the P + R site continues to advance. As a reminder, this park-and-ride project, led by the Portes de France-Thionville agglomeration community, will eventually offer 750 spaces for frontier users of cross-border bus lines (300 and 301) to Luxembourg. A means of replacing the current provisional system and its 400 spaces located in the parking lot of the Kinepolis cinema.
“The schedule is respected”, assures Thierry Carré, deputy general manager of the services to the community of agglo, in charge of the installations. Estimated opening: early February 2021. In the coming weeks, the room allowing the reception and rest of bus drivers will come out of the ground.

Be careful though, this P + R is not intended to become another carpool place in the Thionvillois sector, at least not in the sense that we can hear it near the roundabout of the ‘Star. Places will be reserved for those who share a vehicle to come and take the bus. Add to this spaces reserved for electric vehicles so that they can recharge during the working day, as well as distributors for snacks, dry cleaning, a bike room with code. Finally, the site will also host the Citézen terminus, the Smitu high level service bus. What to privilege the intermodality to the maximum.
