Muscat: For the first time, a transport bus station is coming up in Oman in collaboration with the private sector. The first bus station in the cooperation area is coming up in Niswa in cooperation with Muwasalat. The project’s investment agreement was signed in the presence of the Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.

The bus station at Niswa is spread over an area of ​​11,412 square meters. The project will include a bus station for intra-city transport buses, a passenger waiting station, taxi parking, public parking and various commercial activities that will create employment opportunities for government people.

The aim of the project is to improve public transport in the Sultanate. For this, Muwasalat’s technical expertise will be provided to the private sector through the new agreement. After the completion of the project, Muwasalat Niswail will provide safe and innovative transport services along with integrated public transport station management services. A bus station located in the center of Niswa will facilitate the transport system that connects the different governments. Engineer Badr bin Mohammed Al Nadabi, Head of Muwassalat, said that it would also help attract more visitors to the government.
