The year 2023 will be marked with a white stone for the company T2L (Transport Logistique Lemesle) who counts 90 employees et more than 50 engines.

Indeed, the transport and logistics specialist is multiplying the news: integration into the group of French transporters Tred Union, signing of the building permit for a new 3000 m² logistics platform and the first attempts at electric trucks.

Increase storage capacities

The new 3,000 m² logistics platform is located less than a kilometer from the headquarters in Etrelles (Ille-et-Vilaine). This new project costing 9 million euros will allow the company to increase its storage capacities.

“This land offers a capacity of 12,000m² in totalwhich still leaves us with great prospects… “, communicates Jérémie Lemesle, who created T2L on January 1, 2010.

“We are now multi-activity and multi-client: we transport all types of goods, from horticultural products on rolls to dairy products in refrigerators, including swimming pool equipment and even waste… Whether for large groups like small businesses. Our core business is of course the transport of palletized freight, from 1 to 6 pallets, in France and Europe via our specialized PALL-EX and POLE networks, however the logistics activity is showing promising growth! », continues the leader whose group displays a turnover of 11 million eurosincluding Transports Chapon.

Towards 100% electric trucks

After this investment, Jérémie Lemesle wishes to invest in several 100% electric trucks by 2024. “An ideal solution for our distributions in the city center of Rennes or Vitré,” underlines the manager, currently increasing the testing of electric vehicles.

The first vehicle will arrive from October 1 to deliver the urban areas of Vitré and Rennes. Others will arrive in 2024.

At the same time, we are also studying the use of B100, this 100% French rapeseed fuel. An alternative to diesel encouraged by the CO2 Objective Charter set up by Ademe. This charter, which we have adhered to since December 2022, supports carriers in their reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. A commitment that is particularly close to our hearts.

A group of carriers

Finally, T2L decided to integrate the Tred Union carrier network.

“We joined the POLE (Palette European Logistics Organization) network two years ago for freight reciprocity on the palletized part. Today I want to continue my journey by developing synergies of resources and skills for all of our activities,” indicates Jérémie Lemesle.

For the manager, Tred Union is “much more than a purchasing group, in my opinion it is one of the most dynamic networks in the sector and I like that! I’m going there to produce, help the group progress and initiate, among transport and logistics professionals, new thoughts on our sector.
