New cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia have again surpassed four thousand, the highest since the end of March 2022. As of Saturday (16/7/2022), there were 4,329 cases out of a total of 84,706 specimens examined.

The number of active COVID-19 cases increased by 1,621 patients from the previous day, so that now it has touched 26,594 people. The new Omicron peak in Indonesia is predicted to arrive no later than the end of July with an estimated 20 thousand cases per day.

“Even a prediction was made by the Ministry of Health last month, where the peak of the increase in cases is expected to occur in the third or fourth week of July, with the number of cases predicted to reach 20,000 new cases per day,” said government spokesman for COVID-19 Reisa. Broto Asmoro, in a press conference, Friday (15/7/2022).

  • Saturday (16/7): increased by 4,329 cases from 84,796 specimens examined
  • Friday (15/7): increased by 3,331 cases from 83,417 specimens examined
  • Thursday (14/7): increased by 3,584 cases from 86,512 specimens examined
  • Wednesday (13/7): increased by 3,822 cases from 88,854 specimens examined
  • Tuesday (12/7): increased by 3,361 cases from 97,935 specimens examined
  • Monday (11/7): 1,681 cases added from 71,095 specimens examined
  • Sunday (10/7): increased by 2,576 cases from 41,702 specimens examined
  • Saturday (9/7): 2,705 cases increased from 55,044 specimens examined
