Driver TransJakarta initials RS (46) died after crashing into three cars on the Jagorawi Toll Road, East Jakarta. On social media, the victim is said to have suffered a heart attack, lost control and the fleet changed lanes.
“The results of the post-mortem have not come out yet,” said the Head of Sub-Directorate for Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Jamal Alam when contacted, Saturday (23/4/2022).
Jamal said the results of the initial handling of the accident began as a result of the driver losing concentration. Asked about the suspicion that the driver had lost consciousness due to a heart attack before the accident took place, Jamal said that his party was still waiting for the post-mortem results to confirm the victim’s health condition.
“Yes, that’s what you know after the results of the post-mortem are out,” said Jamal.
TransJakarta Hit 3 Cars
The accident occurred on Friday (22/4) at around 21:45 WIB. The accident happened in Jagorawi Toll Road at Km 02,400 East Jakarta area.
Initially, TransJakarta buses drove in the left lane from the north to the south on the Jagorawi Toll Road. However, suddenly the TransJakarta bus changed lanes.
“It is suspected that he lost concentration and finally the TransJakarta bus changed lanes to the right, which eventually hit the right body of the Toyota Innova minibus driven by the SG which was traveling on the right,” said Jamal.
The collision spread to other vehicles. Two other cars were also affected by the accident caused by the TransJakarta bus.
“The Toyota Innova was dragged so that it hit the Nissan Grand Livina minibus driven by SNS which was traveling in the same direction in front of it and hit the Toyota Innova minibus driven by AM which was driving in lane 3,” said Jamal.
Three car drivers who were hit by a bus TransJakarta it didn’t hurt. All three suffered material losses. Unfortunately, the TransJakarta driver with the initials RS died at the scene.
“The driver of the TransJakarta bus with the initials RS died at the scene and was taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital,” Jamal concluded.
