The deadline for submitting Corona economic aid ends on September 30, 2024 if a deadline extension is requested. However, the portal for digital submission of the final invoice will remain activated until October 15, 2024, so that submission is still possible even if technical problems arise at short notice. Final invoices submitted by October 15, 2024 will be accepted and processed by the approval office.
In cases in which a final account has not been submitted by October 15th, hearing procedures will begin immediately afterwards. These procedures are necessary because failure to submit the final statement will result in the full repayment of the aid received. During the hearing, the third party auditors are given the opportunity to comment and subsequently submit the final invoice within the usual deadlines (until November 30th, i.e. 4-6 weeks). Only after the hearing period has expired on November 30, 2024 will recovery measures be initiated by the licensing authorities. This is announced by the Federal Ministry of Economics.
