Kochi: A case has been filed against 5 persons, including Santosh Varki, popularly known as Aaratannan, for allegedly tying and torturing a transgender woman after they to give her in a movie. Other accused include short film director Vineeth, Alin Jose Perera, Bright and Abhilash. The transgender woman filed a complaint on August 13. It is also alleged that the police are not ready to file a case. The woman gave her statement before the judge.
On April 12, Vineeth called the young woman, who works as a make-up artist in the film, to a flat near Chittoor ferry. The complaint is that they were tied up and tortured in the name of explaining the scenes in the film.
