Anton Kazarinov took on an interesting project of modifying and tuning the Zaporozhets, a car model known for being amenable to various experimental modifications. He initially considered a simple body swap, but later decided to undergo a major transformation. For this project, Kazarinov made many of the car’s components himself and used parts from readily available vehicles such as GAZelles and UAZs. As a result, he turned out to be a real monster SUV.
The most notable upgrade is the addition of a powerful 2.5-litre engine, which is a significant improvement in performance over typical city cars. In addition, the modified Zaporozhets is now all-wheel drive. While the interior remains largely unchanged, a heater has been added to improve comfort.
