In her career played Oscar winner Helen Mirren already some great historical figures, including the British queens Charlotte, Elizabeth I, Elizabeth II and the Russian Empress Catherine the Great. Now the 76-year-old takes on an acting challenge again and slips into the role of the legendary Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir. On a picture, which among other things director Guy Native shared on social networks for the film adaptation of “Golda”, the award-winning actress is hardly recognizable.
Dramatic life
The plot of the film will focus on the dramatic crisis surrounding the Yom Kippur War. Golda Meir was nicknamed “The Iron Lady of Israel” for her resolute style of government.
