The Easter Bunny did a good job. The poor fellow worked his paws sore during the Easter season and left loads of chocolate and eggs in your garden. Now you’re sitting there with a pile of chocolates that usually just sits in your cupboard forever? What could one possibly do with it?

In order to avoid Santa and the Easter bunny running into each other on your candy shelf, you should use up your leftover chocolate quickly. With the recipe for quick oatmeal crossies, you can transform your leftover Easter chocolate, just like all the Easter eggs, into something new. For example, in a delicious snack for those with a sweet tooth, who would certainly not say yes to these no-bake biscuit pudding slices. And to be honest, what could be better than combining chocolate and oatmeal to create crunchy crossies?

That’s how it’s done:

You need these ingredients:

  • 300 g Easter Bunny chocolate, cut into pieces
  • 60 grams of sugar
  • 60 ml milk
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g Butter
  • 300 grams of rolled oats

The preparation is so easy:

  1. In a water bath, heat the chocolate, sugar, milk, vanilla sugar and butter, stirring occasionally, until smooth.
  2. Add the chocolate glaze to the oatmeal in a bowl and fold in until all the oatmeal is covered with chocolate.
  3. Then use two tablespoons to form small portions and place them next to each other on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  4. Leave to cool for an hour.
  5. And you’re done. Enjoy the oatmeal crossies!
